April is going to be a crazy busy month; May even
worse.
Reminder: Monday April 2nd — Miss Wendy is coming to work with adv tap at
2:00. We only have space till 5:30 so learn fast.
Wednesday April 4 -
Kristen
Collianeli will be teaching a Ballet Class. She taught earlier
in the year and everyone loved her. Everyone from Competition Team needs to
be here except Kennedy. This class is open to Int/Adv students age
9-and-older. Class will be from 4:45-6:15. Price for the class is $5.
- The Adv Modern class will meet after Kristen's class from 6:16 to 7:00
only
- Remember this is our last month to finish choreography for our May show.
Also remember there is a limit to how many classes you may miss and still
participate in our end of the year show. Some students are getting close.
At this time I am not planning on having class on Good Friday, Easter, or
Easter Monday.
- Sometime Friday morning I will work with Mary. Please get with me about a
time. I will work with anyone else that wants to work but I think we are OK.

We still need help at the theater.
Lots of little finishing touches. I need someone who can screw
the wings on the owls clock and drill two holes and someone to
sprinkle glitter. Lots of offers but few showing up to help.
I appreciate all those that came
and helped last night. Ya'll got a lot done. We still need help
tonight. It should be fairly easy work but more hands would help
it go faster. Maybe some new people could come do their share.

Miss Dorothy will be selling
tickets here at the studio Monday December 11th through Thursday
December 14 from 4:00 till
6:00 or maybe 3:30-5:30. She will not be at the auditorium
Friday. Please don't wait till Saturday.
We started moving and working on
scenery on Tuesday Dec 12. We need to finish Wed night. I
need help moving things (some heavy), hanging backdrops, putting
up Xmas trees, wadding up newspaper, sprinkling glitter, screwing the doll boxes and puppet theater
together, etc. Mr. Jolly can
start right after school. We only have these two days so please
be a part of your child's Nutcracker.

Thoughts, Reminders & Info:
- I tried to get the picture the picture of the Junior Saintsations in the
paper without luck. They were very nice. Said I had waited to long. I should
have gotten it to them earlier. Oh well, maybe next time.
- All intermediate
students 9 and older should try to attend
Miss Cindy's workshop. I cannot stress enough how
important it is to attend as many conventions as possible. Last year we
attended very few because of the hurricane and I think it shows in our work.
I am a very technical teacher and conventions and workshops are the perfect
place to learn choreography and style. We have this one in October and DTU
in November. Luckily for us DTU will be in Vicksburg and less expensive. We
are thinking of competing so talk to me. We will not be able to do Tremaine
in December because of Nutcracker.
- Please read the Things to Remember on the back side of
2006-2007 Calendars and Tuition
- No Food or Drink in the building. Call when you are not going to be at
class. Be on time. Wait at the door if you are late.
- Don’t forget costume fees.
- This weekend Sept 22-24 I will be out of town. Friday we will have Pre-Acro
class 1:15-2:15 and Beg-Acro 3:30-4:45 ONLY. No classes Saturday. Sunday
Advanced Acro 2:00-4:00.
- The Next weekend September 30- October 1st we will not have Advanced Acro
at all because I would like for you to attend Cindy’s workshop.
- Change in Schedule: Tuesday 4:45-6:45 6th grade Ballet and Tap; Wednesday
Adv Modern 5:00-6:15 Adult Modern 6:15-7:15; My Thursday 7:30 Jazz class
will last till 9:00.

September note:
What a great beginning we have had!
And what a great experience the Saints game was! Other than the traffic and
such, but the dancing was fun.
- Mr. Mike Calnan is taking pictures and some videos of most classes. Try to
visit our web site to see the latest pictures. He has taken some great
pictures and he is really wonderful about keeping our web site updated.
- In September we will be starting our adult classes
and modern.
- If you are interested in modern please let me know again. And let me know
if modern conflicts with pre-toe. Miss Tower had a beautiful baby boy. Both
are doing well.
- I will be teaching the Adult tap classes during lunch: Tuesday’s for
beginners and Wednesday’s for intermediate. Leigh Jolly Merritt will be
teaching the Adult Ballet and Jazz, and Miss Tower will be teaching the
Adult Modern
- Please note the change in the schedule: Pre-Acro on Friday will begin and
end 15 minutes earlier; Tuesday’s 2nd and 3rd grade class has been combined
with Thursdays; There is now a level 4-5 Tap class on Monday’s 7:30-8:00.
- I just received information on the State Fair: Very different.
The dancers don't compete against the singers ever.
Ages 3-12 yrs old compete Friday Oct 6 from 10am - 4pm
And 13-21 yrs old compete Thursday Oct 5 from 4pm - 8pm
I don't think we will be dancing at the fair but if this something you
really want to do let me know.
- I have changed the date to Nutcracker December 16 & 17. I am sending a
separate note on Nutcracker.

Wow what a great first week!
I'm really looking forward to the 2nd week and the 3rd.
Nice to see so many returning students and to meet new ones.
THERE IS A LOT OF TALENT IN THIS STUDIO.
Things seemed to go pretty well.
We are still working and thinking about a few changes, but for the most part
things look good.
Don't forget the Saints Game is this week!
I need to know who is participating and see if we can get a picture or
something in the paper before the event.
Sorry we will still have Adv Acro. The timing works out perfect even though
it is a pain. I'm expecting great things from this class this year.
I'M EXPECTING GREAT THINGS FROM ALL MY CLASSES THIS YEAR.
Parents of students 12 and older, I'm sending home the forms for the Capital
One Bowl so be looking for that.

Thank you for Dancing and especially with me.
I want to make sure everyone is aware of the changes in the schedule:
Monday 5th & 6th grades changed places with
Tuesday 3rd & 4th grades. The times are a little different.
My 1:30 Monday 3 yr olds is very full and my
Tuesday 4 yr old is very small, so I may be moving some of my more mature
3's to Tuesday. But first I need to get to know them. If Tuesday would be
better for anyone let me know.
I made Tuesday 1st & 2nd grade class 1 hr & 15
mins.
My Tuesday 2nd and 3rd grade may move in with
my Thursday 2nd grade but I will need a few weeks to decide.
I moved 8th grade class later 8:00-10:00.
My Wednesday Kindergarten class is large we
may have to divide.
