• Change in Schedule for Wednesday, April 30:
  Wed 4:45-6:00: no pre-toe; Monday 4:45 Ballet and Tap class will come instead and work on their tap dance.
  Both Pointe classes (beginning & intermediate/advanced) will come from 6:00-7:15.
  Advanced Acrobatics will come 7:15-9:15.

• 2008 Recital rehearsal schedule. Rehearsals start Monday, May 5th.

• Schedule for April 4 & 5:
  My Friday 1:15 and 3:45 classes will not meet. All other classes will meet with Rachel Ballard as the instructor.
  My Saturday 12:30 class will meet. All others will not meet.

• Calendar for March 2008

• Twin City Ballet Company has adjudication in Monroe at 7:00 p.m. Sunday February 23rd.
  It is a private performance, but dancers and families are invited.
  I hope to leave around 5:00 to go. I have room for 3 in my car if any of the older students would like to watch. Of course if parents would like to come they are welcome. At adjudications they are being judge. The audience has to be very quite. Last year there was maybe 25 people there. It is casual.

• Congratulations to Piper Booth, Morgan Teller, and Ann Garrison Thomas for being selected as Dancers for the 2008 Miss Mississippi's Outstanding Teen Pageant. I am so proud of you!

• Schedule change for Saturday November 3rd:
  11:30-12:30 turns class
  12:30-2:00 Jazz class
  No class after 2:00
  Advanced Acrobatics will meet on Friday 6:15 – 8:15

• The DTU Fall 2007 workshop is in Vicksburg, November 4 at the Convention Center. Sign up at the dance school.
  Sunday devotional will begin at 8:30 a.m. Classes run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Scholarships will be awarded in each class for future workshops.
  Convention/Workshop Fee — $35 per student
  Observer Fee for parent observers (pre-registered) (student room only) - $10 ($15 at the door)
  Box Lunches — Turkey or Ham - $12.00
  There is a break for lunch. You may not bring in outside food, however you may leave for lunch.

• Miss Cindy's Fall Into Dance Workshop is October 20 & 21 in Columbia Louisiana. Sign up at the dance studio by Friday, October 12.
  Miss Debra's note:
  The fee is $100 by Friday the 12th, $115 after October the 12th. (This is a standard fee for a workshop. Actually it's cheap. We have just been spoiled by DTU.) Classes from Joe Istre are worth that much alone
  Classes begin at 9:00 on Saturday morning and at 1:00 Sunday afternoon
  This is for students 9 and older
  The workshop is in Columbus LA
  I can take 5 in my van.
  Please let me know today if you are interested and we will see if we can't find some other parents to drive.
  You can buy a t-shirt for an extra $15 but you have to order it in advance. I need your parents to fill out the release statement and return it to me. I will take care of everything else. There is a sign up sheet by the door for this and for DTU.

• Changes in Class Schedule, 10-05-07:
  Wednesday 3:45 ballet and tap class will start at 3:30. This class will now be from 3:30 – 4:45
  I’m considering doing the same to my Thursday 3:45 class, but I need to know if you can get her at 3:30
  My Thursday 5:00 class will be 15 mins longer and that will move everyone 15 mins later:
       My Thursday 5:00 3rd & 4th grade class will be 5:00 – 6:30
       My Thursday 6:15 5th grade and older class will be 6:30-8:00
       My Advanced Jazz will be 8:00-9:30
  Don’t Forget Int Jazz A has been moved to 12:30

• Sign up for Mistletoe Magic at the dance school starting on Monday, September 10. The performance dates are December 15 & 16. More about Mistletoe Magic...

• Saturday 12:45 Jazz is fast turning into my favorite class. I am extending this class by 15 minutes. We will start at 12:30 and go till 2:00.

• The turns class will meet next week, Saturday, September 15th, from 11:30 till 12:30. Saturday, September 29th will be at our regular class time of 4:00.

• There will be no classes after 2:15 on Friday, September 21st and all day Saturday, September 22nd.

• If you ordered a video of the recital last year and have a problem with it please call Butch Meyn, 985-320-5577. Please let me know if you had a problem and how it was taken care of. He said they he has mailed out new videos to all that called him this summer. Many told me 3 numbers were missing from the 1st act. Now I have one saying their Ballet and Tap is missing. Please check your video and call.
  Also if you have not received recital pictures or received the wrong pictures call Bruckner's Photography, 601-372-9143.

• Changes in Class Schedule, 8-20-07:
  Miss Anne’s Monday 6:30 class will not meet
  Wednesday 1:30, 4 year old class, will move to Thursday at 1:30
  Miss Wendy’s 3:45 Beginner Jazz will combine with Saturday’s 12:45 Jazz A
  Saturday’s 12:45 Jazz B will move to Thursday at 3:45
  Saturday Intermediate Jazz A will move to Saturday at 12:45
  There is a possibility that Friday’s 1:30 class might need to come at 1:15; I will let you know if we change
  There will be no Friday 7:45 Acro class until after football season
  Friday’s 6:15 class is an 1 ¼ long it ends at 7:30 until I see we need more time
  Saturday Int Jazz A will come at 5:00 this week only Sat Aug 25th

• If you missed 2007-2008 Registration on Saturday, August 4, you may still register at the dance studio during the week of August 6. Please call to make an appointment. Online Registration is available for your convenience.
