I would like to share quotes with you.

The first one is from a dance magazine and the next is from a basketball coach but I changed it to make it pertain to our team.

We spend an entire childhood wondering what we are going to BE when we grow up, when in fact we are in the process of “being” during that entire developmental journey. It is hard to trust that the pay off in the end will justify the means unless we allow and encourage our children to be involved in activities that give immediate and frequent feedback as to the cause and effect of hard work, commitment and perseverance.

Kathry Austin wrote the article but I think she may have been quoting Maslow.

At the end of every competition only you will know if you have really won or lost. It will not be based on pointes on your score sheet.  There are times when you dance nowhere near your potential and you beat the other team, because they’re terrible or because you got lucky.

If you get more points on your score sheet and you didn’t give your all, you’re a looser.

In life what you give away you get to keep.

What you fail to give you loose forever.

If at the end of the day you have fewer points on the score sheet but you gave every ounce of your soul out on that stage, you know you can walk away the winner. They may have been lucky, they may have more skill, they may be a better team, but they didn’t get more out of them selves.

John Woodham

Winning and loosing in life is an internal game

There is a difference between being the best and being your best.
It is fruitless to try to be the best because it is always bases on an opinion.
