Moscow Ballet Costume information

All costumes are provided by Moscow Ballet. However, each child must provide their own performance tights, ballet slippers or pointe shoes, and a light colored camisole leotard to wear under their costume, unless otherwise specified. Each child must also provide a warm-up suit or bathrobe, hair supplies, tissues, and make-up. Make-up—please see note below.

TIGHTS and BALLET SLIPPERS

Party Guests

Girls: Pink tights, pink slippers (short sleeve or camisole leotard)

Boys: White tights, white slippers

Hair: Pulled back at sides, down at back (curled if possible). Bangs are fine.

Little Snowflakes

Pink tights and pink ballet slippers

Hair: High bun. Supports a headpiece

Mice

Black ballet slippers (dye or shoe-make-up old shoes). Black tights

New costumes are built on unitards. Girls must still wear tights and a leotard under the costume.

Hair: Try head piece first to determine height of bun or twist.

Angels

Pink tights and pink slippers

Hair: Low bun

Butterflies

Pink tights and pink ballet slippers or pointe shoes (beige or pink camisole leotards)

Hair: Low bun

Little Sentinels

Pink tights and pink ballet slippers OR white tights and white slippers, as long as the pairs are the same colors. Leotard under costume must be beige. This is very important. Short vest may expose the tummy area!

Hair: Try head pieces first.

Variations

Pink tights with pink slippers or pointe shoes (camisole leotard)

Hair: High buns

Make-up

Please bring only light, natural colors... NO RED LIPSTICK. NO MAKE-UP BASE. Light blush, natural eye shadow (no blue or green), and no false eyelashes. The costumes get stained so easily, that we are trying to keep the amount of make-up worn by the children to a minimum. Thanks for helping on this.
