November Note

I think Dance Teachers United was a wonderful success. We had 41 students attend from our studio. I think everyone had a great time. I know everyone danced well and represented me well. I watched part of classes and could even sneak a peak from the Teachers classroom upstairs.

Melissa Rogers and Molleigh Wallace won a scholarship from the tap teacher. Heather Calnan received an Honorable Mention.

Miele Stuckey won a Scholarship from the Ballet teacher, Miss Michelle.

I am so proud of all my students. It is very hard to be put a huge room with so many other students and learn a routine in an hour, from different teachers. Just to work so hard for 5 hours is amazing. Ya’ll are great.

They are coming back in February 22nd. I hope we will have as good a turn out as we did this time, maybe better.

Next time I would love to see everyone in matching leotards.

The Tremaine workshop is coming up in December.

It will be December 14-15 in New Orleans.

The Deadline for registration is November 19th

Juniors 6 & up $130.00
Teen 11 & up $155.00
Senior 14 & up $155.00
Observers   $30.00

Last year Tremaine sold out and you could not buy observe or students badges.

We are trying to get new Studio Jackets. We haven’t done this in quite a long time but it looks like it might actually happen this year. I will give you details as soon as I have some prices and all. Keep this in mind for a Christmas gift.

I’m also trying to pull the Christmas Parade together. I actually haven’t thought about it much, but all students are welcome and encouraged to participate. The Parade is Saturday Dec. 7th at 11:00 am.

Nursing Home dates are set for the week of Dec.16th. I will send home more information on that as time draws near.

I have again made changes in the Class Schedule. We’re trying to keep everyone on their toes. My Monday 3:30 class has been extended by 15 mins which puts everyone else 15 mins. later. Sorry. And the beginner Jazz class has been divided. Students are being moved from Thursday Jazz to Tuesday Jazz.

Thank you
