MARK YOUR CALENDAR

Rehearsals begin May 2nd

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING REHEARSAL SCHEDULE CAREFULLY!

Every thing concerning the recital is here. Please keep this in a safe place so that you may refer back to it.

It is imperative that you make these rehearsals not just for your sake but also for the sake of your class. It is very hard to work when every one is not here.

All rehearsals will be here at the studio except the last one. That rehearsal will be held at the auditorium.

Exact Schedule of who is dancing at which Nursing Home is here. Make-up, hair, and costume notes are here.

I need each student’s name printed on a separate piece of paper the way you would like for it to appear in the program.

Please turn them in to me no later than May 3rd

It is very important than I have students here to help with the younger children. We live in a very busy and fast paced world. I realize that this rehearsal schedule is hard enough just coming at your own time, however I do expect most of the students, 6th grade and older, to come to all the younger rehearsals and to help here and backstage. Most of the students want to help backstage and are offended when I send them into the audience. If you have not been helping all along you do not know what is going on, the younger students do not know you, and you will only add to the confusion backstage.

Parents are not allowed backstage during the show.

The children can dress themselves. They will have teenagers to help.

You may come back and change them during intermission.

We will not start an act until the parents are out of the back hallway.

Intermission is not a time to take pictures of your child and her classmates.

Every year we have complaints about how long our show is, this is largely due to parents who will not leave the dressing area.

Students who are not in an Act should sit in the audience and watch.

They may not wear their costumes in the auditorium.

Awards will be last this year.

I’m looking forward to a wonderful show.

The students are starting to shape up nicely.

Yes I am in my panic mode, but it is starting to shape up.

The major problem is not having everyone here.

It’s not fair to the many who are here and it really stresses everyone.

I understand we all have busy lives but please try to have your child here for the extra rehearsal in April and on the weekends.
