DRESS REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE INFORMATION

Please have your child arrive at dress rehearsal(s) already dressed in tights, camisole or leotard wearing a sweat suit or robe over them to speed up the costuming process.

 PLEASE NOTE: Make sure your child's sweat suit does not leave "pill" marks on their tights. Have your child wear a cardigan type top, this will save time in fixing hair because it is not pulled off over their heads.

 PARENT CHECKLIST:

·     Clean ballet shoes (points or slippers).

·     Camisole leotard, tights and cardigan type top.

·     Sweat suite or warm up suit.

·     Pink lipstick & blush (please no red lipstick), no false eyelashes & no eyeshadow.

·     Pony tail holders and/or rubber bands, hair pins, hair net, brush, comb.

·     Hair spray or gel.

·     Ribbons for the party guests only - we will let the teacher know what color.

·     Small packages of tissues, safety pins.

·     Child's name on all personal items & keep baggage at a minimum.

·     No jewelry of any kind, i.e., earrings, rings, bracelets, etc.

All dancers with the exception of party guests MUST have their hair in a bun (height to be determined by the headpiece - please allow the bun to be adjustable) and no bangs on the forehead.

REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE POLICY

Moscow Ballet's policy for children, minors, and young dancers concerning missed rehearsals and costume fittings is as follows:

Parents, children and young dancers need to understand the necessity of attending all auditions, rehearsals and costume fittings and being on time to these events. A high professional level can not be accomplished without commitment on the part of the dancer and parent to:

1. Be on time to all rehearsals.

2. Be on time for costume fittings

3. Be on time for performance calls.

4. Pick up dancers from all activities on time.

Our school dance coordinators (host teachers) also feel this way. We both strongly urge parents and our children to be prompt.
