Summer Dance Our summer dance program offers three separate and distinct curriculums. We have a DanceCamp for every age group, we have Regular Classes, and we have Dance Intensives for Intermediate and Advanced students. I suggest that intermediate students do both camp and regular classes, and that advanced students take a workshop taught by someone other than our regular staff. DanceCamp is designed for children at every level of dance education, from those with little or no training to those who have trained for many years. In addition to technique classes in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz, students will study famous classical Ballets. They will learn valuable lessons about anatomy, health and nutrition, dance history and other areas involved in dance. They will explore their own creativity through exercises in pantomime and dramatic interpretation. These are valuable classes that we can only offer during the summer because of the time restraints. Dance Intensive with special guest teachers will be offered for two different levels again this year. The older students will be June July 5th - July 9th. I am currently working on a staff. Toney Neumann will teach intermediate level students July 19th –23rd. |
